Abstract
En la era contemporánea, el avance tecnológico y científico ha transformado significativamente los ámbitos laborales y educativos, haciendo indispensables las habilidades del siglo XXI como el pensamiento crítico, la creatividad, la colaboración y la resolución de problemas. La educación STEM (Ciencia, Tecnología, Ingeniería y Matemáticas) emerge como una respuesta esencial para estos desafíos, enfocándose no solo en conocimientos técnicos, sino también en competencias transversales que preparan a los estudiantes para resolver problemas del mundo real con creatividad e innovación. Este enfoque promueve un aprendizaje activo y experiencial, integrando metodologías como el Aprendizaje Basado en Problemas y Proyectos. Desde su implementación global en la década de los noventa, STEM ha demostrado ser eficaz en el desarrollo de habilidades críticas para el siglo XXI, preparando a los estudiantes para adaptarse a las demandas del mercado laboral contemporáneo y enfrentar los desafíos futuros con eficacia y resiliencia.
